Conspiracy Theories -- Don't Be Blown About by Every Wind of Doctrine

As my regular readers will already know, exactly as the Scriptures inform us, I believe that Satan is the false god of this current world, as we see by these verses:

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

2 Corinthians 4:4, KJV

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"

Ephesians 2:2, KJV

"And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it."

Luke 4:5-6, KJV

Likewise, I have written my share of commentary regarding the New World Order -- or One World Government -- and the globalist agenda.

However, at the same time, I also believe that some people -- both conspiracy theorists and Christians alike -- sometimes go to the extreme, and try to see the devil -- and some devilish, globalist plot -- under ever rock and behind every tree, when it just isn't so. Let's face it. People have great imaginations; but sometimes their ideas tend to get away from them, and they can even become a bit silly.

I advise all of you to please remember this:

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"

Ephesians 4:14, KJV

The lesson is simply this:

Don't get blown about by every crazy idea or conspiracy theory that appears on Facebook, or in any other part of the Internet, because if you do, as the verse says, you could become deceived, and not even realize it. When you are not sure about something, it is best to simply stick to the sound teachings of God's Word. That way, you will never go wrong . . . well, at least not as much. :)
